World Animal Day and the Pets I Have Known

It’s World Animal Day today. In honor of our furry and feathered friends, I’ve posted images of some of the animals I’ve known, many who have inspired characters in the Frankie Chandler Pet Psychic mystery series. Feel free to post photos of your own little buddies in the comments!

At the very top of the list is Buster, our beloved pet who is the inspiration for Chauncey in the Frankie Chandler mysteries. Sadly, Buster passed away over a year ago. We still miss him every day.

My cousin's dogs, many who have gone to that Rainbow Bridge. An inspiration for the first Frankie Chandler mystery.
Ozzie from Pet Supply who featured in the second Frankie Chandler.
The mourning dove that adopted us for a brief spell. He's moved on, hopefully with a mate.
Valerie the Hummingbird. I had the privilege of helping with her rescue. She will definitely be in an upcoming Frankie Chandler mystery. (She is now happily back with her family in a nearby tree.)

Every last one of these darlings has left a lasting impression on me. How about you? Is there an animal who made your life better? Post a picture in the comments.
